Nischintakoili Road Mishap: CM Naveen Announces Rs 3 Lakh Ex-Gratia For Deceased’s Kin

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has expressed deep grief over the death of three people in a road accident at Nischintakoili on Cuttack-Chandbali Road and announced an ex-gratia of Rs 3 lakh to the kin of each deceased.

Nine people were seriously injured in the accident and have been admitted to SCB Medical College, Cuttack. The CM directed the authorities to provide them with the best treatment. Patnaik wished a speedy recovery of the injured.

The mishap took place in the morning when the bus carrying 60 passengers was on its way to Cuttack from Kendrapara side. It collided head-on with a speeding truck registered in Rajasthan leaving three dead and 40 injured.

The injured have been admitted to local health centre while seriously injured passengers have been shifted to Cuttack.
