Rourkela: NIT Rourkela, one of the premier institutes of national repute, is all set to open its extension center at Bhubaneswar by mid-2024.

The center will house a section for the Foundation for Technology Business Incubation (FTBI), which aims to provide solutions to the problems that our country is currently facing, said an official press release.

The FTBI will provide a platform for young entrepreneurs of NIT Rourkela to showcase their skills and provide innovative solutions to the problems that plague our society.

According to Professor Uma Maheswar Rao, Director, NIT Rourkela, the FTBI will provide the necessary infrastructure, including space, workshops, and expert guidance to young entrepreneurs to help them start a full-fledged business enterprise.

The experts will also guide them on how to obtain funding and navigate the complex landscape of the entrepreneurial world, which will help them become successful.

The futuristic approach of NIT Rourkela and FTBI is commendable. By providing a platform for young entrepreneurs to showcase their skills and providing them with the necessary support, the center is paving the way for the next generation of successful startups.

The FTBI will also act as a bridge between the industry and academia, fostering collaborations that will further help in the growth of the startup ecosystem.
