Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi addressed the state-level Independence Day celebration, highlighting the government’s commitment to resolving public grievances and promoting development. He emphasised that every government rules according to its capacity and ideology, but the common people often feel neglected due to corruption.
The Chief Minister stated that his government has taken a serious approach to addressing public grievances. Over the past year, 14 public hearings were held, where over 20,000 grievances were heard, and more than 90% of the problems were resolved. He personally hears grievances to ensure people’s problems are addressed.
The government is also taking strict action against corruption. CM Majhi warned that corrupt officials, from PIOs to IAS officers, will face consequences. He guaranteed that every corrupt person will spend their life in fear and sorrow.
On environmental protection, the government has decided to plant 75 lakh saplings on Prime Minister Modi’s 75th birthday. This initiative aims to promote environmental awareness and honour PM Modi’s love for Odisha. CM Majhi requested citizens, especially mothers and sisters, to join the tree plantation campaign in large numbers.
The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of working together for Odisha’s progress, prioritizing development while protecting the environment and promoting Odia identity.
