Rairakhol/Athamallik/Kuchinda: Holding his hectic election campaigns in Rairakhol, Athamallik and Kuchinda assembly constituencies under the Sambalpur parliamentary constituency, BJD supremo and Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today asserted that no national party (BJP or Congress) will gain majority this time while the regional parties will be king maker.
Addressing the voters, the regional satrap said, “Not a single national party will get majority at the Centre for government formation while the regional parties will be the king maker (choose who will be the Prime Minister). It is a great opportunity for us and Odisha.”
“BJP is anti-Odisha. It has become scared of its imminent defeat,” Naveen ridiculed.
He further said, “The big leaders of BJP come to Odisha only during elections for begging votes. Ask them where they were during Phailin, flood and drought? Where is the double MSP? Where is their promise for ‘har khet ko pani’ (irrigation for each farmland)? Insurance company reaping profits while the farmers left in the lurch. Who is responsible? They stopped the water flow of Mahanadi. Also stopped the scholarship for SC-ST students. Koshali language was not included in the 8th Schedule of Constitution.”
Launching a scathing attack, Naveen Patnaik burst, “The Centre is playing with the emotions and sentiments of the poor farmers, poor SC-ST students and the Odias.”
“I’m always with you and remain so ever. The interest of a common man is most significant for me. 4.5 crores people of Odisha are my family. I’ll keep on serving till my last breath. Bless me and cast vote for conch symbol,” the BJD supremo-cum-Odisha CM exhorted.
