No New COVID-19 Case In Odisha, National Death Toll Steady

Bhubaneswar: No new coronavirus case has been detected in Odisha and improvement have been noticed in the condition of the third patient who was tested positive for COVID-19 in Bhubaneswar, informed Chief Spokesperson of Odisha Government’s COVID-19 management team, Subroto Bagchi, on Saturday.

Bagchi informed that up to 12 noon today, 256 samples were sent for COVID-19 test andvreports of 226 samples have been obtained. Number of positive cases is still 3. First two cases are currently asymptomatic. Third case has improved and is free from fever today.

It is reported that 55 contacts of first two cases are being tracked. 112 contacts of third cases have been identified and are in communication. Besides, 56 persons are under Hospital Isolation today in different hospitals.

Bagchi further informed that 7080 peoples have registered themselves online and through 104. Out of these 4286 are from abroad and 2794 are from other states.

Giving global updates, Bagchi informed that as many has 6,01,520 persons in 199 countries were reported infected with 27,441 deaths. The number of person infected in India stands at 908 while the death toll remains at 20.
