Bhubaneswar: While Odisha is reeling under the heatwave, the Met Department has predicted scorching heat conditions during this week. According to the IMD, the day temperature will be rising by 2 to 3 degrees from Thursday onward.
The IMD has issued (heatwave) yellow warning for six districts – Boudh, Sonepur, Bolangir, Kalahandi, Angul and Sambalpur.
“No large change in Maximum temperature (Day Temperature) during next 2 days over the districts of Odisha. It will gradually rise by 2 to 3 °C at a few places over the districts of Interior Odisha and subsequent 2 to 3 days,” the IMD stated.
Dry weather very likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha while Bhubaneswar will experience a clear sky becoming partly clody during the afternoon/evening. Maximum and Minimum temperature very likely to be around 38°C and 26°C respectively in the Capital City, the IMD added.
On Monday, the highest maximum temperature of 40.8 degrees was recorded at Sambalpur and the lowest minimum temperature of 19.6 degrees was recorded at Jharsuguda.
