Bhubaneswar: Odisha Forest department today started night safari or Nocturnal Natures Trail at Chandaka and Dampara wildlife sanctuary. It was started at Bharatpur section.
School students were allowed on the first day in a bid to create ample opportunity to study the behaviour of the animals.
The department made arrangements for at least 12 vehicles to take school students to the forest. The safari will remain out of bounds for visitors from 9.00 PM up to 9.30 AM the next morning.

Ecotourism in the Chandaka-Dampara Sanctuary has been promoted to spread the message of Conservation of Bio-Diversity as well as to provide livelihood to the local community.
The day visitors can experience the visit to two Nature Awareness Centers at Bharatpur and Dampara besides the Nature Camp.
