Bhadrak: The official notification for the bye-election to the Dhamnagar assembly constituency in Bhadrak district of Odisha was issued by Bhadrak Sub-Collector cum Returning Officer on Friday.
As per the notification, the last date for filing of nomination papers is October 14. Candidates can submit the nomination papers to the Returning Officer or Assistant Returning Officer in between 11 am to 3 pm on all days except holidays.
The date of scrutiny is October 15, and the candidates can withdraw their nomination by October 17. The polling will be held on November 3 and the date of counting and declaration of results is November 6.
The bye-election to Dhamnagar was necessitated following the death of its MLA Bishnu Charan Sethi. He breathed his last on September 19 at AIIMS, Bhubaneswar.
