Sundergarh: Noted dramatist and director of Odia cinema Pradip Bhol passed away due to a heart attack at the district headquarters hospital here today. Bhol, an award-winning director, was 59.
With films like Suna Sankhali and Pabitra Bandhana, Bhol created a distinct identity for himself in the Odia film industry.
The Odia drama ‘Mau’, written and produced by Bhol occupied a position in the Limca Book of Records. He was more active in the field of drama than in films.
According to his family members, today morning, Bhol experienced severe chest pain following which he was rushed to the DHH here. However, on reaching the hospital, the doctors declared him dead.
People from different walks of life have expressed deep condolences on the untimely demise of Bhol.
