Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate of Police have arrested two persons who were involved in a series of burglaries in the Capital City and seized 70 grams of gold and 150 grams of silver ornaments from their possession.
The accused have been identified as Niranjan Swain alias Nanda and Nalu Swain. Both of them belong to Astaranga in Puri district. A person who used to receive and sell their stolen items has been arrested from Astaranga. He was identified as Sukanta Sahu of Konark.
Nalu and Nanda were involved in at least one dozen criminal cases of burglary and theft in Bhubaneswar. The police have recovered two stolen two-wheelers from them. The police will seek their remand for further investigation, DCP Anup Sahoo said.
