Koraput: In a significant move to curb organised crime, the Koraput police have arrested Hrudananda Nayak alias Prince (35) of Umuri village under the National Security Act (NSA). The accused, a notorious criminal with 17 cases of extortion, ganja smuggling, and robbery against him, was taken into custody after completing all necessary legal and procedural requirements.
According to Koraput SP Rohit Verma, Prince was involved in criminal activities in Jeypore, Borigumma, and Nabarangpur areas, and his arrest aims to maintain order and prevent further organised crime. The NSA has been imposed to ensure public safety and security.
A press conference was held at the Jeypore SDPO office, where the SP informed about the arrest and the action taken against Prince. The police have been keeping a close watch on the activities of the accused, and this arrest is a significant step in maintaining law and order in the region.
