Ganjam: A notorious criminal Rabi Das was brutally murdered by a group of miscreants at Haripur village under Khallikote police station limits in Ganjam district.
As per reports, Das, who had returned from jail just three months ago, was hacked to death with sharp weapons. His body was found lying on the road in a pool of blood.
Police suspect that the murder might be a fallout of a past rivalry. Das was involved in several criminal cases in various police stations.
Khaliakote police have launched an investigation into the incident and are trying to identify the accused.
