Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate of Police has arrested a mobile snatcher and his associate and seized six handsets from his possession. The accused Bijay Kumar Pradhan and Jayakrushna Pradhan of Mundia Sahin under Nayagarh Town police limits.
They have been involved in multiple cases of mobile snatching which took place in the city recently. The duo was active in Chandrasekharpur, Nayapali, Badagada, Infocity and Khandagiri areas. On May 13, they accosted a girl and snatched her mobile phone. The girl fell from her scooter and was injured.
The police have also seized a speed bike from the possession of the accused and verifying the vehicle’s credentials. They were booked and produced before the court, the police said.
