Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange warning for three Odisha districts predicting moderate thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds reaching 30-40 kmph within the next two hours.
According nowcast warning issued by IMD at 2pm, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur and Puri districts are likely to witness moderate thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds reaching 30-40 kmph in the next two hours.
The squally weather is expected to prevail along and off the North Odisha coast, with wind speeds reaching 40-50 kmph and gusting up to 60 kmph.
Meanwhile, fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea along and off the North Odisha coast, as the sea condition is likely to be rough to very rough.
Residents are also advised to keep a watch on the weather and be prepared to move to safer places if conditions worsen,.
