Bhubaneswar: Heavy rain is forecast for Puri and Khurda in the next three hours, a nowcast warning issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) today said.
According to the nowcast, light to moderate rain/thunderstorm accompanied by lightning is likely at several places in these two districts within the next 3 hours. The IMD has advised people to keep a watch on the weather and move to safer places to protect themselves from lightning strikes.
On Wednesday, Bhubaneswar received 7.7 mm of rainfall, which led to water logging at several places in the smart city.
Meanwhile, the regional office of the IMD here has issued a warning of thunderstorms for six Odisha districts. The weather condition is expected to continue for two more days.
