Bhubaneswar: A yellow warning for thunderstorms with lightning and light to moderate rain has been issued for residents of three Odisha districts.
According to the nowcast warning issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) at 1 pm, districts going to be affected by the weather conditions are Sundargarh, Mayurbhanj, and Gajapati.
Light to moderate thunderstorms with lightning and light to moderate rain are expected, accompanied by gusty surface winds reaching 30-40 kmph. The weather alert is valid for the next three hours.
Residents are advised to stay alert, monitor weather updates, and seek shelter in safer locations to protect themselves from lightning strikes.
