NTPC Talcher Thermal Launches CSR Initiative ‘Girl Empowerment Mission’ To Support Girls’ Education And Development

Talcher Thermal: NTPC Talcher Thermal inaugurated its flagship Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, ‘Girl Empowerment Mission 2024’, on Tuesday.

The one-month long initiative aims at supporting 40 young girls from eight government schools covering four gram panchayats by providing them with access to quality education, health, life skills training, and mentorship opportunities.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by a distinguished panel of guests including Sh. Goutam Deb, Executive Director, Talcher Thermal, Dr. J.P Roy, GM (Project), Sh. Chander Shekhar, GM (CCD), Sh. Deepak, GM (Engineering) along with Smt. Bipasha Deb, President, Sagarika Ladies Club and senior club members.

Speaking on this occasion, the Executive Director of Talcher Thermal Sh. Goutam Deb stated, “Talcher Thermal maintains its dedication to empowering and uplifting girls in the neighbouring villages. Over the past three years, we have positively impacted the lives of approximately 210 girls, with an additional 40 set to benefit in 2024. We firmly believe that through these concerted efforts, we can foster a more equitable and inclusive society, ensuring every girl has the opportunity to contribute to a brighter future.”

With this one-month-long mission, NTPC Talcher Thermal is planting seeds of possibility. By nurturing the minds, bodies, and dreams of 40 girls, NTPC TTPS reaffirms its commitment to driving positive change and building a brighter future for generations to come.
