Nuapada: Biju Janata Dal (BJD) candidate Snehangini Chhuria launched her campaign for the Nuapada by-election with a spirited roadshow and bike rally from Nuapada to Khariar Road on Saturday.

Joined by hundreds of party workers and senior leaders, including Khariar MLA Adhiraj Mohan Panigrahi and district president Abani Ranjan Joshi, Chhuria began her election campaign.

Addressing supporters, Chhuria said, “Nuapada is my family. I seek your blessings to serve this constituency with the same dedication as Biju Patnaik and Ghasiram Majhi.”

Her campaign will focus on three key pillars: promoting former CM Naveen Patnaik’s development agenda, advocating welfare schemes for women and the poor, and highlighting the alleged failures of the BJP government in ensuring women’s safety and effective governance.

Chhuria faces competition from Jay Dholakia of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Ghasiram Majhi of the Congress in the upcoming by-election, which is set to be held on November 11.
