Bhubaneswar: Voting is underway in the Nuapada by-election, with polls opening peacefully across the constituency. As of 9 am, Nuapada recorded a voter turnout of 14.99%.

In the Nuapada Assembly by-poll, early voting trends indicate a modest participation rate, with the district recording a voter turnout of 14.99% as per a press release from the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO).

According to the release, mock polls were successfully conducted across all 358 polling stations in the Nuapada Assembly constituency. During the mock poll, three Ballot Units (BU) and three Control Units (CU) were immediately replaced after a technical glitch was identified. A reported EVM-related issue at Booth No 76 in Mangorapalli under Khariar Road was promptly resolved.

As per reports, the district administration is maintaining strict vigilance to ensure a smooth and incident-free voting process. Central security forces, state armed forces, and police personnel have been deployed to maintain law and order.
