Balasore: A first-year student of nursing at St Thomas School Of Nursing under Jyothi Hospital in Balasore district died during treatment at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar on Friday.
The deceased has been identified as Lipsa Rani Behera, daughter of Gangadhar Behera of Sabira village under Soro Police limits of Balasore.
Reportedly, Gangadhar had received a call from the institution on Tuesday stating Lipsa was unwell and he was asked to come to the hospital. The family members reached the hospital and found Lipsa in critical condition. They shifted her to a private hospital in Bhubaneswar.
After she died during treatment today, her family members alleged she has been murdered or committed suicide due to ragging.
