Odia Actor Files FIR Against Film Producer For ‘Thrashing’ & ‘Threatening’ On Shooting Set

**Bhubaneswar: ** An Odia actor has lodged a complaint with Khandagiri Police Station (PS) against one Soham Singh, producer of upcoming Odia movie ‘Ajatshatru’ for allegedly assaulting him physically as well as having issued life threat over payment issues.

The incident took place on Thursday night during the shooting on the outskirts of the capital city here.

The 27-year-old aggrieved artist is Bishwabhusan Panda of Patanda village under Gania post office in Nayagarh district.

As per the FIR filed, the film producer, Soham Singh, all of a sudden started allegedly beating him during the shooting of Odia cinema ‘Ajatshatru’ at Ghatikia Durga Mandap on Thursday (June 22).

“Even he went insane and attempted to hit me with a boulder. Some persons present there tried to resist him. However, he could manage to hit me at my back with that boulder. He also threatened me that I lack efficiency and guts,” Bishwabhusan alleges in his police complaint.

The actor also mentions in his FIR that the producer allegedly warned him not to dare to show off punctuality akin to Bollywood star Akshya Kumar. The producer also allegedly threatened the co-artist that he would not allow the latter to stay in Bhubaneswar.

Bishwabhusan in his FIR also mentions, “He (the film producer) was also assisted with 5-6 henchmen. Meanwhile, I phoned the PCR at 9.19 pm. Since I apprehend threat to my life, I don’t wish to work with him. When I told him that police is coming, he retorted challenging me to call anyone.”

“Perhaps you don’t know the clout of Soham Singh,” the complainant actor alleged against the film producer quoting him having uttered such threatening words.

Despite concerted efforts, reactions of the concerned film producer could not be availed of.
