Khurda: An Odia Jawan of the Border Security Force (BSF) was killed while he was on duty today. The deceased jawan, Jayprakash Mohapatra was from Aranchal village under Nirakarpur police limits in Khurda district. He was posted at Shillong.
Mohapatra was training new recruits on driving vehicles. A new recruit ran a vehicle on him which led to his death. According to reports, the injuries were so severe that Mohapatra succumbed on the spot.
Family members of Mohapatra informed that his mortal remains will reach his native village Aranchal on Wednesday. He is survived by wife and one daughter, reports added.
