Odia CRPF jawan killed in jharkhand

Keonjhar: A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan hailing from Anandapur in Keonjhar district of Odisha was killed in an exchange of fire with Maoist extremists in Jharkhand on Friday.

Susant Khuntia, a jawan with CRPF’s 60 Battalion was killed when Maoists opened fire on CRPF personnel engaged in a combing operation in Kolhan forest under Tento police limits in Goilkera block of West Singhbhum district of Jharkhand.

Khuntia was a native of Nandi Sahi in Ward No. 4 of Anandapur Notified Area Council in Keonjhar district. He was married two months back.

A pall of gloom descended in Anandapur as news broke about Khuntia’s death in an exchange of fire with Maoists.
