Odia Doctor Found Dead In Delhi

**Puri:** An Odia doctor working as an Anaesthetist at Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) Hospital in New Delhi was found dead under suspicious circumstances on Monday morning.

The deceased has been identified as 26 year old Sidharth Shankar Mahapatra of Markendeswar Sahi of Puri town.

Sidharth’s body was found hanging from the ceiling fan at Plot no-1/9, second floor, Old Rajendra Nagar in New Delhi, a place where he was staying on rent along with couple of other doctors working at the same hospital.

While one of the doctors was out on night duty, another is on a visit to his native Jharkhand.

Police believe it to be a case of suicide and have sent the body for post mortem at RML Hospital.

Sidharth’s family, who have been informed about his death, are suspicious about the reason for his death.

“We never imagined he could have committed suicide. We thought it might be an accident case. We knew about the incident through one of the news channels,” said the grandmother of the deceased.
