Bhubaneswar: The SDJM Court here today granted bail to Ollywood film producer Sanjay ‘Tutu’ Nayak.
Nayak was arrested on Saturday by Kharvel Nagar police for allegedly assaulting and misbehaving with a woman journalist.
He was granted bail against furnishing of a bail bond of Rs 50,000 and one surety.
The film producer was arrested under sections 341 (wrongful restraint), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 294 (using obscene words) and 354 (outraging modesty) of the IPC.
The woman journalist named Debasmita Rout on Friday had lodged a complaint with police accusing Nayak of assaulting and showing indecent behaviour to her.
