Bhubaneswar: Three jawans of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), including one from Odisha, were electrocuted after coming in contact with a high tension wire passing over their camp at Birpur in Bihar’s Supaul district on Friday.
According to SSB sources, the jawans were shifting a tent in their camp during training when they came in contact with a high tension wire.
The deceased Odia jawan has been identified as Parshuram Sabar of Kuruguba village under Rayagada block in Gajapati district. He had joined the force in April last year. His mortal remains are to reach his native village today.
The other two deceased jawans are Amol Patil and Mahendra Chandra Kumar Bopche from Maharashtra. Meanwhile, the SSB has initiated an inquiry into the mishap.
