Bhubaneswar: Acclaimed Odia mountaineer based in the USA, Sidharth Routray has scaled Mount Everest, the highest peak in the world.
Sidharth, son of Congress veteran and Jatni MLA Suresh Routray, brought glory for the State as he reached at the peak of Everest at 4 am on Sunday.
He had carried a photo of Lord Jagannath with him and waived the Indian flag and ‘Patitapabana Bana’ of the Lord on reaching the peak, reports said.
Earlier, Sidharth had scaled top 3 peaks in three continents of North America, South America and Africa. Sidharth, who resides in Folsom, California with his wife Anita Misra and two daughters.
