Bhubaneswar: Eminent Odia film music director Jalal Adeni has passed away after a cardiac arrest at his residence in Buxi Bazar area of Cuttack, informed sources on Monday.
Born on June 23, 1936, in Bhanjanagar of Ganjam district, the engineer-turned-music director has worked in various Odia films. His first ever recorded song was ‘Nida Bhara Rati’ for the film ‘Anutap’ in 1976.
Adeni had also introduced lyricist Mohammad Nizam and Odia composer and singer Tansen Singh in the Odia movie industry.
