Bhubaneswar: Odia TV serial actress Rashmirekha Ojha allegedly committed suicide at a rented house in Gadasahi area under Nayapalli police limits in Bhubaneswar.
Her body was found hanging from a ceiling fan. Police have also recovered a mobile phone, a laptop, and a handwritten note where she has stated that no one should be held responsible for her death.
As per the house owner, she was staying in the house for the last two months with a male friend, who is presently out of the station.
Bhubaneswar DCP Prateek Singh said that the Investigating Officer of the case has contacted the said friend of Rashmirekha and he assured of his cooperation in the matter.
While Rashmirekha’s family has not brought any allegations, further details can be ascertained after receiving her post-mortem report, added Singh.
Rashmirekha was from Sanketpatana in Jagatsinghpur district. She came to Bhubaneswar after completing +2 to pursue a career in acting. She became popular in ‘Kemiti Kahibi Kaha’.
