**Bhubaneswar: ** Odia sprinter Dutee Chand has created a new Indian record in Women’s 100 m run by clocking 11.29 seconds in the semi final of the ongoing 58th National Interstate Senior Athletics Championships in Guwahati on Friday. The ace sprinter was followed by Prajna Prakash from Karnataka, who completed the race in 11.81 seconds in heat-2 of the semis.
Dutee broke the previous record of 11.30 seconds which was also registered in her name. She shared her happiness on social media through her official account on Facebook.
Worth mentioning here, runner Dutee Chand and rower Sanjukta Dungdung have been qualified for 2018 Asian Games that is scheduled to be held from 18 August to 2 September 2018 in the Indonesian cities of Jakarta and Palembang.
