Odisha: 204 Excise Cases Detected & 186 Persons Held In Cuttack During Poll Season
Cuttack: As many as 204 excise cases have been detected during ensuing Elections from 10th of March to 19th of April by the Excise Officers of Cuttack district.
The places of detection are Athagarh, Viruda, Koranga, Pollabahada, Banki, Narsinghpur, Badamba, Mahanga, Niali, Salipur, Nischantakoili, Choudwar, Kisannagar, Jagatpur, Odaspur, Phulnakhra, Baranga, and inside Cuttack town.
Acting on tip-offs, all these areas were patrolled within the last month and 186 persons were arrested. As informed by Ashok Kumar Satapathy, Superintendant of Cuttack Excise depatment, the items that have been seized by the team are:
Illicit liquor(I.D)- 2307.500 ltrs
Country Liquor(C.L)- 375.560 ltrs
Beer- 88.85 BL
India Made Foreign Liquor- 49.398 Ltrs
Bhang- 275 kg
Wash- 15240 ltrs
Four wheelers- 3 Nos.
Two wheelers- 5 Nos.
