Odisha: 3 Deer Mowed Down By Train In Jagatsinghpur

**Jagatsinghpur:** In an unfortunate incident, as many as three deer were killed after a train ran over the animals near Dhalatangada forest under Raghunathpur police limits here late last night.

The incident took place when the speeding goods train hit the animals who were crossing the railway tracks. The train was heading towards Cuttack from Paradip, stated reports.

On intimation, forest department officials reached the spot, sent the deer carcasses for post-mortem and launched investigation into the incident. Such cases have been increasing in the State due to miscoordination between the Railway and the Forest Department.
