Bhubaneswar: In yet another overdrive against corruption and corrupt officials, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today ordered compulsory retirement of two officers and dismissal of another four for corruption and inefficiency.
As per a media communique one Narayan Tiadi, presently serving as Assistant Engineer under RWS&S division Bargarh district has been given compulsory retirement from Government service for gross inefficiency and lack of integrity while discharging his duty. He is involved in a vigilance case for acquiring asset disproportionate to his known sources of income and has been unauthorisedly absent from duty for long time.
Another person, one Gayanendra Patel, Assistant Engineer serving in the office of the EIC, PH has been given compulsory retirement from Government service with effect from today for remaining absent from duty for long time.
The media communique further says that another four persons have been dismissed from Government service for being convicted in vigilance cases recently.
They are Sanjay Kumar Choudhury AEE Water Resources Department; Pradeep Kumar Ray serving in the office of GM, DIC, Nuapada; Bigyan Kumar Beuria, AEE, Northern Irrigation Division, Jagatpur; and Amiya Kumar Sethi, AE, PH Section-I, Rayagada under H& UD Department.
