**Keonjhar:** A five-year-old girl died while her father is critical after being bitten by venomous snake in the district on Saturday. The incident was reported from Sankir village under Sadar block here.
The deceased has been identified as Kuntala Munda.
The incident occurred last night when Kuntala and her mother and father Sukhalal Munda were sleeping at their home.
Both were rushed to the Keonjhar District Headquarters Hospital where Kuntala succumbed to her injuries while undergoing treatment while her father is stated to be critical.
Kuntala’s mother Tulasi Munda said, “My husband complained that something bite him and then my daughter complained of stomach ache and then vomited following which we took them to the DHH.”
