Bhubaneswar: Aligned with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of transforming “Karmachari to Karmayogi,” Odisha is making significant strides in implementing Mission Karmayogi.
By the end of November 2024, approximately 50,000 government employees and nearly all departments in the state were onboarded onto the integrated Government Online Training (i-GOT) platform.
The i-GOT platform provides a personalized digital learning framework to enhance functional, domain-specific, and behavioral competencies. Odisha aims to leverage this platform to foster a learning ecosystem that enhances public service delivery, promotes accountability, and ensures citizen satisfaction.
Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja reviewed the progress of the initiative on Saturday at Lok Seva Bhavan, alongside senior officials including Additional Chief Secretary Surendra Kumar, Director General of Gopabandhu Academy of Administration G. Mathivathnan, and Executive Director of the Centre for Modernizing Governance Initiative (CMGI) Satya Rath.
Following the signing of an MoU between the Odisha Government, the Capacity Building Commission, and Karmayogi Bharat on October 23, 2024, the Gopabandhu Academy of Administration was designated as the nodal agency for Mission Karmayogi. The academy has since conducted workshops for nodal officers from all departments, providing step-by-step guidance for seamless onboarding onto the i-GOT platform.
To support this effort, help desks have been established at Lok Seva Bhavan and Kharavela Bhavan by the Centre for Good Governance, Odisha (CGGO), a vertical of the Gopabandhu Academy of Administration. These help desks assist departments in data validation and registration processes.
The onboarding process is ongoing, and it is expected that all four lakh government employees in the state will be registered on the platform within a few days.
Chief Secretary Ahuja expressed satisfaction with the progress, emphasizing the need for mandatory training for all government officials. He stressed that capacity building among employees would directly improve government functioning and service delivery.
The Chief Secretary also announced periodic reviews of the program, focusing on the number of training modules completed by officials.
