Boudh: In an unfortunate incident, Additional District Magistrate Ramakanta Sethi of Boudh was killed in a road mishap at Charichhak near Kalarapatha on NH-57 on Monday morning.
Reports stated that Sethi (55) was returning to Boudh from Bhubanewar in his Government vehicle when the driver lost control over the wheels at around 8 am. The car skidded off the road and hit a roadside tree.
Both Sethi and the driver sustained critical injuries in the crash. They were immediately rushed Purunakatak hospital for treatment. However, their condition worsened and they were shifted to the district headquarters hospital (DHH). Sethi succumbed while undergoing treatment in the DHH.
Pall of gloom descended after the news of Sethi’s death spread in the area. Meanwhile, cops have launched a probe into the matter.
