Berhampur: President Ram Nath Kovind is scheduled to arrive in Odisha tomorrow on a two-day visit to the State.
As per reports, Kovind will arrive at Bhubaneswar on Friday afternoon and will leave for Gopalpur in Ganjam district.
The President after his arrival at the Rangeilunda air strip tentatively at around 3.30 PM will leave for the Army Air Defence College at Gopalpur.
Kovind will spend the night at the Army Air Defence College premises. He is scheduled to grace the passing out parade at the Army Air Defence College on Friday tentatively at 8.00 AM. After a brief programme of tentatively two hours he will leave for Bhubaneswar.
“Extensive security arrangements have been made for the President’s visit as per Blue Book guidelines. Air strip security, traffic and route lining, mobility of the President and carcade are the important areas in security arrangement. All senior officers have arrived, they have been briefed about their duty,” informed Berhampur SP Pinak Mishra briefing reporters on Thursday about security arrangements for the President’s visit.
Giving further details Mishra said: “Around 12 platoons of security personnel will deployed for route lining and airport security. The carcade in-charge who is from the security branch has arrived from Bhubaneswar.More than around 100 officers will be deployed in various capacities for the President’s visit.”
