Odisha: Ambulance Rams Into Roadside Tree In Bhadrak, Patient & Helper Killed

**Bhadrak:** In an unfortunate road mishap, two persons were killed after a 108 ambulance they were travelling rammed into a roadside tree on Bhadrak- Chandbali road near Ugratara in Bhadrak district late last night.

The deceased have been identified as Upendra Sahu (50) of Kandagaradi village and Pramod Parida.

Reportedly, the ambulance carrying a critically-ill Upendra was on its way to Bhadrak hospital when the driver lost control over the wheels and the vehicle rammed into a roadside tree near Ugratara.

Upendra was killed on the spot and helper of the ambulance Pramod too succumbed to his injuries in the mishap. A relative of the patient named Bijay Sahu was also critically injured while two others sustained minor injuries.

While Bijay was shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack for treatment, cops informed that the driver of the ambulance is absconding.
