**Angul:** Tension gripped a family of Balisahi village here today morning after an adult member of the household died as he was allegedly administered wrong injection.
The deceased has been identified as Sibaram Pradhan of Balasingha Panchayat.
Reportedly, Pradhan had gone for consultation to a doctor in a private clinic regarding his throat pain. It has been alleged that after the doctor prescribed him an injection and Pradhan purchased it from one ‘Tarini Medical Store’ located at Angul Hata square. The pharmacist at the store allegedly administered the prescribed injection to Pradhan.
However on his way back home, Pradhan breathed his last near Angul Government College.
Following his death, Pradhan’s family staged a demonstration in front of the medical store. Later, they filed a complaint with the police regarding administration of a wrong injection to Pradhan.
While cops have reached the spot and have initiated a probe into the matter, Pradhan’s post-mortem report is also awaited.
