Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi today expressed sincere gratitude to all delegates and Guests and other participants for making Pravasi Bharatiya Divas a huge success.
Majhi, in his valedictory speech, said that Odisha Ashmita has reached a great height today due to the success of the mega event.
He also invited the Diasporas from across the globe to invest in Odisha, promising all government cooperation.
“With the blessings of Lord Shree Jagannath, Odisha Ashmita is at its new heights now. I seek your involvement and cooperation in taking the Odia Culture and Heritage to the world. The Pravasis who want to engage with the State for projects, investment etc. will be supported and facilitated. I am elated to announce that my government will appoint a Nodal Minister from the Department of Odia Language, Literature and Culture for this purpose,” Majhi said.
In his concluding speech, the Chief Minister expressed his delight at the successful three-day celebration of friendship and solidarity with the Indian diaspora. The event, which was attended by over 5,000 delegates from around the world, was a historic moment for Bhubaneswar and Odisha as a whole.
Majhi thanked the attendees for making the event a grand success, saying that their presence had lit up the city with love, faith, and vibrant colours. He also appreciated the enthusiastic response of the people of Odisha, especially Bhubaneswar, in making the event a memorable one.
The Chief Minister highlighted the various events organized across the state, including the Sea-beach Festival at Puri, Bird Festival at Chilika, and serene events at Buddhist heritage sites. He encouraged the attendees to explore Odisha’s natural and heritage sites, relish traditional Odia cuisine, and experience the state’s unique culture.
CM Majhi also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his immense support and encouragement, as well as External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar for his guidance in making the event a success. He congratulated the recipients of the “Prabasi Bharatiya Samman Awards” and the winners of the “Bharat Ko Janiye Quiz”.
In his concluding remarks, CM Majhi emphasized Odisha’s commitment to progress and prosperity, inviting the Indian diaspora to be a part of the state’s growth story. With Odisha now more open to the world than ever before, the Chief Minister expressed his confidence that the state would continue to attract investments, talent, and tourism from around the globe
