Odisha Assembly Adjourned Till 4 PM Amidst Opposition Protests Over SCB Hospital Fire

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Assembly remained adjourned till 4 pm today amidst continuous protests by opposition parties over the SCB Medical College and Hospital fire incident.

The Speaker, Surama Padhy, adjourned the House multiple times due to disruptions. Opposition members from Congress and BJD staged protests, demanding the resignation of Health Minister Mukesh Mahaling over the fire mishap at SCB Medical College and Hospital which claimed 12 lives.

The Speaker initially adjourned the House till 11:30 am, then till 12:30 pm, and finally till 4 pm. The opposition has been protesting since March 17, alleging negligence and demanding accountability. Meanwhile, an all-party meeting has been called to discuss the issue.
