Bhubaneswar: As the Monsoon Session of Odisha Legislative Assembly (OLA) began today amid the ongoing Covid restrictions, the opening day got adjourned till 3 pm after Leader of the House, the Chief Minister, moved obituary references for the departed MLAs, MPs from Odisha, Covid warriors and martyrs.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik attended the session today through video-conferencing (VC) from his residence Naveen Niwas here in the capital city.
He moved the obituary references as a mark of homage by the State and the whole House condoled the sad demises of its departed members (legislators) and MPs, Covid warriors and martyrs.
Soon after the due condolences and homage paid to the noble souls, Speaker Surya Narayan Patro adjourned the House till 3 pm.
The House will re-assemble from 3 pm to 5 pm as scheduled for the second half of the day during the span of this 4th Session of the 16th Assembly.
