Bhubaneswar: An all-party meeting will be held on September 25 before the commencement of the Monsoon Session of the Odisha Legislative Assembly on September 29, informed Speaker Surjya Narayan Patro today.
The meeting will deliberate on the modalities and challenges of conducting business in the House during the Covid pandemic, Patro said.
Issues like Covid guidelines, whether there will be Question Hour, Zero Hour or not will figure in the meeting, he added.
The Monsoon Session of the Odisha Assembly is scheduled to commence from September 29 and conclude on October 7.
This session will have eight business days spread over in nine days. The Assembly will remain closed on account of Gandhi Jayanti on October 2 which is a national holiday. However, the Assembly will hold session on October 4 despite it being a Sunday.
Out of the eight business days of the session except for October 6 which has been kept for Private Members’ Business all are Official Business days.
