Bhubaneswar: The monsoon session of the Odisha Legislative Assembly (OLA) will commence from July 2.
The session will have 24 working days and is scheduled to end on August 4 as per the provisional calendar of sittings of the OLA’s tenth session released here today.
Finance Minister Niranjan Pujari will present the full-fledged Budget for the year 2022-23 on the first day of the monsoon session.
Out of the 24 business days planned for the session two days have been marked for private members’ business.
It may be mentioned here that Finance Minister Pujari had on March 30 presented an interim budget (vote-on-account) for the year 2022-23 with an outlay of Rs 2 lakh crore.
The full-fledged budget could not be presented as the panchayat and urban polls were held in February and March.
The vote on account was required for meeting the expenditure on payment of salary, pension, interest, calamities expenditure and other ongoing schemes and programmes.
