Nuapada: Body of a woman and her niece were found hanging from a tree inside a forest at Putkelpada village under Lakhana police limits here today afternoon.
The deceased have been identified as Padmabati Majhi and Mounabati Majhi.
On April 11, they had gone to Kurumapuri bazaar for shopping following which they went missing. After 48 hours, locals noticed their bodies hanging from a tree and immediately informed the cops.
While police have begun investigation, it is yet to be ascertained whether this is a murder or suicide.
