Bhubaneswar: Being one of the best performers in various activities organised for ‘World No Tobacco Day-2024’, Odisha was awarded 2nd position among various performers from across the country.
According to an official statement, Odisha secured this position in a well-designed structured evaluation done by National Resources Centre for Oral Health and Tobacco Cessation, Maulana Azad Institute of Dental Sciences, New Delhi under the aegis of National Oral Health Programme, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. The prize was awarded on the occasion of the observation of World No Tobacco Fortnight from 20th May to 5th June, 2024.
Additional Secretary and Mission Director, National Health Mission Aradhana Pattnaik felicitated Odisha with certificate and citation on Thursday.
Director, Public Health Dr Nilakantha Mishra received the award on behalf of Odisha.
