Odisha Bags 'Best Fisheries State' Award In New Delhi

Bhubaneswar: Odisha was adjudged the ‘Best Fisheries State’ at the Ninth Agriculture Leadership Awards organised by Agriculture Today Group in Delhi on Thursday. A committee headed by Governor of Kerala P Sathasivam selected Odisha among other best performing states in fisheries sector.

Fisheries & Animal Resources Development Department Minister Arun Sahoo said that this award will encourage Odisha to propel the fisheries sector to new heights. Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Narendra Singh Tomar presented the award at a ceremony held at Delhi's Taj Palace hotel.
