**Angul:** Miscreants did not even wait for 24 hours before looting another bank in Angul. After the Andhra Bank was targeted in the day, SBI Bank was selected for the night.
Some unidentified miscreants broke the strong room of Bantala SBI branch late on Friday night and decamped with the iron chest. Similarly, the Andhra Bank was looted in broad daylight when some masked miscreants decamped with cash and jewellery at gunpoint situated at crowded Bazaar Chhak.
At the SBI branch, the robbers reportedly fled after the automated alarm went off as soon as they barged in the strong room.
The exact amount of cash stolen is yet to be ascertained.
After getting information, the police reached the spot to get a stock of the incident. The scientific team have also reached in the morning. They have started investigating into the matter.
A bank at Nayagarh was also looted on Friday afternoon, hours after the loot in SBI.
