Bhubaneswar: The State BJP will send the list of its probable candidates to the central committee in Delhi today ahead of forthcoming Assembly and Lok Sabha elections.
Core committee member and MP Pratap Sarangi said that the state unit has shirt-listed the names of the probable candidates in the meeting held on Saturday.
“The list will be sent to Delhi where the announcement will be made. The State BJP is well prepared to fight the polls alone in the State. We have met on Saturday and discussed the election affairs. If party president calls, we may sit again to further chalk out the plan,” the former Union minister said.
The list of possible candidates for 147 constituencies, 21 Lok Sabha seats has been short-listed. The list of potential candidates will be sent to the Central Parliamentary Committee for approval before a final announcement.
The State unit of the BJP has prepared plan to deliver the letter written by PM Modi to all the houshold in the State to build a developed India.
Yesterday, a meeting of the state election committee was held with all the senior leaders in the Bhubaneswar party office. In the morning, the state core committee had met followed by the state election committee met.
The 2024 election was the sole focus of the meeting which was attended by state president Manmohan Samal, poll in-charge Bijaypal Singh Tomar, co-in charge Lata Usendi, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Biseswar Tudu and other senior leaders.
