**Dhenkanal:** The bodies of two youths were found floating in a canal of Rengali Dam near Padmanabhpur village under Sadar police limits here today morning following which fire services personnel rushed to the spot and recovered them.
Reportedly, locals of the village spotted the bodies today morning and intimated the police and Fire brigade about the matter. A team rushed to the spot, fished out the bodies and also recovered a shattered bike from the canal.
According to sources, the duo was victim of a road accident that took place when they were traveling on their bike late last night. Many suspect that in the middle of the night, the duo was not able the see the diversion that had been dug for construction of a bridge and fell into the left canal of Rengali dam. The barricade and the warning sign board have also been destroyed in the accident, said sources.
The identities of the deceased is yet to be ascertained, meanwhile the cops have initiated a probe into the incident.
